I believe in good food. Good food has the power to delight, to comfort, to fuel, and most of all, to heal. Six years ago, I was diagnosed with MS. Forever a cook and an eater of good food, I went on a search to understand how what I ate and my health worked together. All roads led me to an almost entirely plant-based diet, which meant I had to almost entirely re-learn how to cook. One new year’s resolution and hundreds of recipes later, I’ve become a total convert to the world of vegan food. I love what I eat–maybe more than I did before–and by all accounts I’ve never been healthier.
None of this is a recommended course of action. If I’ve learned anything it’s that everyone is different, and needs to find their own way to what works for them. Meanwhile, I’ll be sharing my adventures in healthy cooking and eating here.
